Question of the Day: How much homework should teachers give during a vacation? Why?

I don't think that teachers should give students work at all for their vacations. I believe it's called a vacation for a reason. To b able to relax without having to worry about any school work or having to return anything to school after wards or anything. Nobody wants a vacation wheres though they'd have to do work.

Question of the Day: How old do you think someone should be before they are allowed to create a Facebook account? Why?

I believe that anyone who knows how and is allowed to use a computer and internet at home should be allowed to have a facebook account. I believe that its only fair. Facebook is for everybody. For friends, family, associates, and even co-workers. I don't believe that there should be a age limit to a website that doesn't have an age limit itself.

Question of the Day: How are your own teachers using technology? Does it help you learn? Do you have any suggestions for ways that your school can better use technology to promote learning and class participation?

There are many teachers that are starting to use more technology for learning. I find this a better way to connect to students and reach out towards them because many adults know that teens are more interested in electronics and phones than anything else. I believe that it gives me a chance to make up  anything that i missed and it helps me bring up my grade therefore giving me a better chance at passing. using technology to learn is a great way to learn. I couldn't have given a better idea.

Question of the Day: How much should parents in general know about their teenagers’ life online? Why?

I don't believe that its mandatory for a parent to know about a teenagers life online. If a parent wants to know certain things, i feel that its okay for them to know bu i don't think it should be a "supposed to" type of thing. I believe that teens are old enough to know right from wrong when it comes to being on the web therefore they dont need a supervisor down their back whenever their on the computer. If a teen is willing to add their parent to that part of their life its okay.

Question of the Day: What is the one technology or technology gadget that you are thankful for? Why?

One of the technology gadgets that I'm most thankful for is my cell phone. I feel that with my cell phone i can do almost anything. Its there when I'm bored, when i want to talk to someone and no one is around. Its there when i want to listen to music or watch a video. And its also there to inform me of things when i want or need to look something up. My cell phone is very valuble to me and I'm thankful for it.

Question of the Day: Do Your Test Scores Reflect How Good Your Teachers Are? Explain your answer?

I  would agree with this statement but then again i would say that it would vary between how good of a teacher he or she really is and the behavior of the students. But everybody has their opinions. Not everybody learns exactly the same way as others.

Question of the Day: Can Cellphones Be Educational Tools?

I do feel as though cell phones can be educational. I consider a cell phone to be a computer. just a smaller version of one, and they do just about anything if not, more than a regular personal computer. I think that if people find computers as being educational devices than cell phones can be as well.

Question of the Day: You wouldn’t want someone stealing your hard work, intentionally or even unintentionally, would you? Of course not. Why?

No i wouldn't appreciate someone stealing something of mines. Even if it is unintentionally. I don't believe that anyone would want someone else stealing their hard work. If someone is taking time and labor to create something, they would want to take full credit for it. Unless someone other than them is helping with the work. I feel as though this is only human to feel this way. That's why there are consequences and dangers of it.

Question of the Day: Do you think teenagers today should show more respect for adults? (teachers, parents etc) Do you think it important for teenagers to show respect for adults? Why?

Yes I do believe that its important for teenagers to show respect for adults. Adults are people just so as teens. I feel as though when teenagers in this day become adults they would be looking forward to the same respect that the adults now wish for. Everybody deserves respect unless they are disrespectful themselves.

Question of the Day: Why do you think reading comprehension is so important?

Reading comprehension is a big tool in learning and reading. Its a way for people to understand what they've read. Reading without understanding is not reading, because the main goal of reading is to understand what you read. There are many way to improve reading comp. You can try to remember as much info from what you read as you can. You can think of related ideas you've learned in the past. Or you can make notes about your thoughts or discuss what you remember with other people.

Question of the Day: Would you rather talk on the phone or text message someone? Why?

Some people think that its better to talk on the phone rather than texting someone. But if you'd ask me, I believe that its much easier to send a text. Sure that by talking on the phone, its a lot quicker but with texting, its more fun and convienient. You can easily do other things while waiting for a text reply. Weather its cleaning, eating, or even talking on the phone.
